Privacy Policy

Stay Ready ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it, across the Stay Ready mobile apps (iOS and Android) and this website. By using Stay Ready, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Account details: your name and email address, provided by Apple or Google when you sign in. Sign in with Apple may give us a relay address instead of your real one. Profile and training data: birth date, sex, height, body weight and body measurements, training goals, gym and equipment, and everything you log — workouts, sets, check-ins, joint assessments, readiness ratings, habits, supplements, food and nutrition entries, and notes. Sensitive categories you may choose to add: progress photos, body-composition scan reports (for example DEXA or InBody), lab results, menstrual cycle entries, and military or first-responder status if you request free access for those who serve. Messages and reports: what you type to the in-app assistant, and bug reports you send from Settings, which include your app version, device model and system version.

Your data is stored on servers we operate on Railway (United States) in a database we control, and on your device. Progress photos and exported reports are stored in Cloudflare R2 object storage under access-controlled, time-limited links. Menstrual cycle entries on iOS stay on your device only. We keep account and training data for as long as your account exists. Crash and error reports are retained by Sentry for up to 90 days. Database backups roll over on Railway's schedule.

With your permission, Stay Ready reads sleep, steps, heart rate, heart-rate variability, body weight and composition, and nutrition from Apple Health or Health Connect, and writes the workouts you finish back to them. We use these readings to calculate your readiness and recovery, to fill in your body weight and nutrition, and to show trends. Daily summaries of sleep, steps and heart-rate variability are synced to our servers so your readiness score is the same on every device. Health readings are never used for advertising or sold, and are never shared with third parties except as described under AI Features. You can revoke access at any time in Health or Health Connect settings; existing summaries can be removed by deleting your account.

Some features send information to Anthropic, our AI provider, to produce a response. These are all of them: Nutrition: meal estimates from a photo or a description you type, recipe import, meal-plan generation (Build My Week), and restaurant optimize. Training: the coaching assistant, program building from your goal sentence, second opinion, AI workout assist, and activity reports you describe in your own words. Body and progress: progress-photo comparison, which sends the body photos you choose to compare, and body-composition scan reports you choose to analyse. Trainers: if you have connected with a trainer, their assistant (trainer copilot) can include your training and readiness data in its requests. What is sent depends on the feature: the photos you choose (meal photos, progress photos, scan reports), the text you type, and the context needed to answer. That context can include your workout history, your program, your nutrition logs and targets, your body weight and measurements, and, for the coaching assistant and trainer copilot, your readiness and fatigue summary. The coaching assistant can also include your recent sleep, steps and heart-rate variability summaries from Apple Health or Health Connect. Anthropic processes these requests to return the answer and does not use them to train its models. We don't send your account name or email address with these requests; anything you type yourself, or that is visible in a photo you choose, is sent as it is. You can use the app fully without the AI features; the coaching assistant asks before it includes your health readings.

We share data only with providers that help us run the service, each bound to use it for that purpose: Railway — hosts our servers and database. Cloudflare R2 — stores progress photos and exported reports. RevenueCat, Apple and Google — process subscriptions and purchases; RevenueCat receives your account identifier and email so we can restore purchases across devices. Sentry — receives crash and error reports, which can include your account identifier, device details and, for sync errors, a readiness score or muscle group. Firebase Analytics — receives in-app product analytics such as "workout completed" or "program selected" with a program identifier; it never receives names, emails or health readings. Anthropic — AI features, as described above. FatSecret and USDA — food search; your identity is not sent with a search. Constant Contact — stores your email if you joined the launch waitlist, until you unsubscribe. Kisi — only for members of partner gyms that use door access; receives your email to grant or revoke access. Apple and Google — sign-in identity providers.

This website uses Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful. It is off until you allow it: nothing loads and no analytics cookie is written unless you choose "Allow" on the banner. If you decline, no analytics requests are made at all. Google Analytics records pages viewed, approximate location derived from a truncated IP address, and basic device and browser information. It does not receive your name, email address, or any training or health data. You can change your mind at any time: "Analytics choices", at the foot of every page and just below, removes the analytics cookies and asks again.

If you request free access as a military member, veteran, law enforcement officer, firefighter, or EMT, you send us a short email with your name and your category of service. We use it only to grant the entitlement, and the resulting flag is stored on your account. We do not request, receive, or store military IDs, credentials, or identity documents.

Purchases are processed by Apple on iOS and by Google on Android, and are subject to their privacy policies. We never see your payment details. Your entitlement — whether your account has access — is recorded on your Stay Ready account, which is why it follows you if you change phones or platforms. Billing itself stays with the store you purchased from.

Data is encrypted in transit. Access to production systems is limited to the people who need it. On your device, your local copy is protected by the device's own security features. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach ever affects your personal data, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

You can view and edit your profile and data in the app at any time. You can export your workout history as CSV and a PDF summary from Settings; for a complete copy of your data, email [email protected] from your account address. You can delete your account from Settings on iOS or Android, or by emailing [email protected] from your account address. Deletion is immediate and permanent: your account, training, health summaries, photos and exports are removed from our servers and storage. Some records outlive deletion for a limited time or by law: crash reports at Sentry for up to 90 days, your purchase records held by Apple, Google and RevenueCat, database backups until they roll over, and a waitlist email until you unsubscribe from it. Depending on where you live you may also have rights to correct, restrict or object to processing, and to complain to a data-protection authority. Contact us to exercise any of them.

Stay Ready is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger; if you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, where the law requires it, give you additional notice.
