Fuel

Targets that follow your training, five ways to log a meal, meal plans and a shopping list, and the add-ons.

Fuel is the diet half of readiness. It is not a separate app bolted on: the targets come from the training the app just planned, and what you log feeds back into how the next weeks are set.

Targets

Fuel starts from a target: a goal (lose, maintain or gain), macros, and a daily calorie number built from your estimated energy expenditure. That estimate is not a formula you fill in once. It adapts as your weight trend and your logs come in, so if the scale is not moving the way the goal says it should, the target moves. Calorie cycling is on by default: training days get more, rest days less, decided from the day the plan has scheduled, not from a guess about what you might do. The Today card shows calories and macros so far against the target.

Logging

Add food gives you every way to get a meal in, because the fastest one changes with the meal:

  • Search a database of foods and restaurant items. Food data is powered by FatSecret.
  • Barcode for anything packaged, with a label scan fallback when the barcode is not in the database.
  • Photo: take a picture of the plate and confirm what the app sees.
  • Voice or plain words: say or type what you ate and the agent bar turns it into entries.
  • Custom foods and recipes for the things you make again and again, with recipe import for a recipe you found elsewhere.

Every entry opens a detail sheet where you set the portion. Logged meals stay editable.

Insights and check-ins

Nutrition insights shows the week as it actually went: adherence to the targets, protein, the days that drifted and when. A short nutrition check-in asks how the diet feels, and the answer feeds the targets along with the weight trend.

Meal plans, recipes and the shopping list

The meal plan is a week of meals you build from search, your recipes and the recipe browser. Meal suggestions fill the gaps with options that fit what is left of the day's macros. My recipes keeps the ones you made yourself. The shopping list is generated from the plan, so the week you planned is the week you can actually cook.

Add-ons

Supplements and the fasting timer are off by default. Turn either on under Settings, More features, and it appears inside Fuel.

Last thing

The screens read better with your numbers in them.

Everything in this guide is on the phone, with your readiness, your lifts and your food in place of the examples.
